Waikato Federated Farmers held their AGM recently and this year's marks a significant transition for the organisation as Keith Holmes passes the batten to Phil Sherwood as President.
Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to Keith Holmes for his dedicated service. From his early days as a Federated Farmers cadet to owning and operating successful dairy, sheep, and arable farms, Keith has always championed the interests of Waikato farmers. Thank you, Keith, for your tireless work.
I’d also like to warmly congratulate Phil Sherwood on his election as the new President. Phil brings a wealth of experience from his roles as Matamata Dairy Chair, Waikato Dairy Vice-Chair, and Waikato Regulatory Chair. His deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our farming sector, combined with his proven leadership, make him exceptionally well-suited to guide Waikato Federated Farmers into the future.
Wishing Phil every success in his new role as president and looking forward to seeing the continued growth and advocacy for our region’s farmers under his leadership.
